Highway of Hope - New York by Manny Caballero  Dylan Wilk, Gawad Kalinga's International Partnership Coordinator, speaks before members and leaders of the Filipino-American community and GK partners and advocates at the packed Philippine Center in New York City last April 15 about the latest achievements of GK. Wilk reported that 150,000 Filipinos have been helped by GK to-date. He also said GK is building two villages a day, which is equivalent to eliminating two slums a day. Wilk invited Filipinos in America to visit and to see for themselves the GK villages. Another big rally was held April 19 at the Conlon Hall Cafeteria at St. John the Evangelist Church in Bergenfield, NJ. The meetings are in line with the "Highway of Hope" caravan by Wilk and Nathan Mari, GK1mb National Coordinator.
