Be a GK Village Builder! Any passionate individual or group could be equipped and trained to become a village builder.
What does it take to be a GK Village Builder?
  • Passion and deep love for the poor
  • Provide seed funding for the village (10% of the total village package)
  • Commit to the village funding within six months to a year by advocating to your sphere of influence - i.e. family members, co-workers, friends, neighbors and groups you are a part of (professional, social, religious, health, educational, informal)
  • Obtain necessary training to become an effective presenter for Gawad Kalinga
  • Attend GK values formation talks and assemblies
  • Identify other potential GK Village Builders in your sphere of influence
 
Tools for the GK Village Builder We are developing tools to assist to help our GK Village Builders become successful:
  • Powerful GK Presentations - our GK presenters are available for your events
  • Ongoing GK Presenters Training - we regularly provide training so that you will be equipped with presentation skills and updated GK information
  • Inspiring GK Videos - you will have access to our wide range of inspiring GK videos and we could even tailer one especially for you
  • Your Own GK Village Information - once you make the initial remittance, you will have a Community Development Plan for your very own village and quarterly updates
  • Other Advocacy Materials - we could help with official partnership letters and other helpful materials for your advocacy
  • Village Coordinator - a dedicated GK volunteer will work closely with you in the overall planning, funding and communications of your village from start to completion
  • Monthly GK Assemblies - strengthen your hear and spirit by participating in monthly GK assemblies
